The AutoCAD Level 1: Essentials class is designed for those using AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT with a Windows operating system. This class is not designed for the AutoCAD for Mac software. The objective of AutoCAD Level 1: Essentials is to enable students to create a basic 2D drawing in the AutoCAD software. This course covers the essential core topics for working with the AutoCAD software. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing, and then continue to develop those tools.
The AutoCAD Level 2: Intermediate class is designed for those using AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT 2with a Windows operating system. This class is not designed for the AutoCAD for Mac software. The objective of AutoCAD Level 2: Intermediate class is to enable students to create a basic 2D drawing in the AutoCAD software. After the Level 1: Essentials class, this course continues with more sophisticated techniques that extend your mastery of the software.
Replicate a professional workflow and build upon concepts introduced in Introduction to AutoCAD through hands-on exercises that explore how to create 2D production drawings. Create and manage blocks; add attributes to blocks; prepare templates; define text and dimension styles; use external reference files; work with tables; utilize collaboration tools; publish and distribute project drawings.
This hands-on course takes the student on a journey beginning with drafting the most basic elements of a drawing through completing a small project. Along the way the student will gain an understanding of the application as complete tool for generating documentation of any kind. The goal of this course is to give the student the tools to initiate and complete projects independently.
Begin with basic tools and concepts that enable you to create and edit simple drawings; then move on to more advanced tools. Explore the AutoCAD workspace and user interface. Finish with a production drawing that's ready to print. Hands-on class exercises are used to simulate a real-world workflow. Prerequisites: Working knowledge of basic design/ drafting procedures and terminology. Please note: Not accepted by NYS for LU or PDH credit.
Take advantage of the functionality and productivity found in AutoCAD. Learn the fundamentals of AutoCAD in this hands-on course and discover how to efficiently prepare 2D digital drawings. Specifically designed for interior designers and using the Microsoft operating system, this course will cover the basics of AutoCAD drawing software. Topics include drawing commands, drawing set-up and edit, layers, dimensioning, and text. Save, save-as, printing and plotting functions are also covered. An elementary knowledge of both basic hand drafting and computer use is recommended.
For architects and interior and product designers. Learn the basics, including drawing, editing, dimensioning, output, and presentation. Gain a practical understanding of AutoCADs relevance to professional practice. Take a project from sketch development and produce professional drawings.
AutoCAD 2017: Advanced introduces advanced techniques and teaches you to be proficient in your use of the AutoCAD software. This is done by teaching you how to recognize the best tool for the task, the best way to use that tool, and how to create new tools to accomplish tasks more efficiently.
Discover the powerful tools and techniques for drawing, dimensioning, and printing 2D drawings in this course that enables you to reuse content and extract information from your drawings. With an understanding of the tools and concepts you'll learn in class, you can begin to streamline the design process and become more productive with AutoCAD.
