The Startup Station presents a three-course series:  

Course # 1: Introduction to Financial Statements, Ratios and Financial Analysis for Early Stage Startups March 1st, 6 pm, 222 Broadway, 21st Floor In this workshop you will learn about the structure of three main financial statements - Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement, key performance metrics and how to perform break-even analysis, i.e. identifying the point at which your company becomes profitable.

Course # 2: How to Model a Software or Service Early Stage Startup - 7 Business Models In this workshop you will learn how to model seven business models for early-stage tech startups. We will discuss which assumptions are needed for each business model, how to determine values for those assumptions and how to translate your launch strategy into a financial forecast. March 8th, 6 pm, 222 Broadway, 21st Floor

Course # 3: Valuation Methods for Early Stage Startups In this workshop, you will learn eight valuation methods predominantly used to value early-stage startups, both quantitative and qualitative. We will also cover the cost of capital, how to determine the terminal (exit) value of your company and how to create and maintain your capitalization table.

Presenter: Victoria Yampolsky, CFA

Victoria Yampolsky, CFA, is the President of the Startup Station, a finance & strategy consultancy for early-stage startups that focuses on formulating monetization strategies, financial modelling & valuation. She's also Founder of the Startup Station - Finance School for Entrepreneurs where she teaches finance to early-stage startup founders. She is an advisor to Jotteq, Opkix, and Stringflix, as well as founder of several ventures in media & entertainment. Previously, Victoria worked in Deutsche Bank Research and did IT consulting for CapGemini's Financial Services Division. Victoria holds a Bachelor's Degree, Cum Laude, in Computer Science, with minor in Mathematics, from Cornell University and an MBA, with honours, from Columbia Business School. Victoria is also on the Advisory Board of the CIS Department of Cornell University.
