Marketplace startups -- companies that focus on matchmaking vendors and customers -- are redefining business models in every industry. Investors and entrepreneurs see this model as something lucrative and promising; these startups can be employee light, low on liability, and have a huge upside if successful.
But growing and scaling a marketplace startup is challenging. A normal business has a target customer and a product or service, and focuses on delivering that product. A marketplace startup faces that problem, times two, while also trying to figure out the dynamics of the internal economy they’ve created.
Join us for a deep dive on how to create a marketplace startup as we discuss
Finding your first users and building both sides of your marketplace
Understanding network effects and how they apply to marketplaces
Ensuring good user experience
Keeping your vendors and customers engaged with your product
And much more!
