You always wanted to start your own business but had no idea how? This workshop will help you to discover the possibilities in your next stage of life and uncover what you may know that can help you help others, change your life and their lives forever! By applying techniques used by new business development people and marketers at startups and large companies in charge of developing new products and services, we'll help you generate ideas from your own interests and passions, identify problems you might be interested in solving and get you on the path to determining market viability. At the end of this interactive workshop, you'll have a list of ideas to take home for further analysis. Keep in mind many businesses such as Pinterest, started off as one idea and then pivoted (changed) to another idea after further exploration. While you may have some “aha” moments, you may also leave with more questions. This is a natural outcome of the process. This idea generation session is open to individuals and teams looking to find fresh, targeted, effective ideas to solve problems and improve products. If you have friends you would like to work with, we suggest you come together to the workshop so you can work together on ideation. (Special rates for teams.) The workshop leader is Betty Wong, co-founder of Stage2Startups and founder of CEO Global Resources Inc. Betty has worked on new products and services in the food, drinks, education, beauty-aids, healthcare, business services, financial services, office products, software, construction, and security industries. She has worked on the launch of over 30 products and has worked with numerous founders and companies on ideation workshops. She graduated from NYU’s Stern School of Business and received an MBA from Columbia Business School and has been an advisor and mentor of the entrepreneurship programs for both business schools.
