SUNY ATTAIN Lab @ The North Bronx Career Counseling & Outreach Center Presents an MTA WORKSHOP Would you like to learn the basics of relational databases? Join us for this look at SQL Database fundamentals, along with those of database management systems and database components. Get an in-depth introduction to the terminology, concepts, and skills you need to understand database objects, administration, security, and management tools. Plus, explore SQL scripts, database queries, and data types. There will be a Security check-in desk in the lobby. Documents required to enroll: State ID,Proof of Income,HS Diploma/GED, Proof of Address, Must be NYS resident. MUST BE INTERESTED IN TECHNOLOGY OR HAVE PRIOR ENTRY LEVEL  CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING ABOUT THE MTA Certifications The Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) workshop is ideal for students and those looking to jumpstart a career in IT. In addition they are looking to validate technology skills and to differentiate themselves as part of the college or job application process. The event will ensure you have the skills needed to utilize technology, whether in the classroom or as part of an IT team. What is the MTA certification? Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) is a recommended entry point into IT certification and job preparation. Pass just one exam and you’ll earn a certification, taking your first step toward a career in technology. It is also a good portfolio builder to go along with other certifications you may have. If you are just starting your IT career path or are looking to enhance your understanding of IT fundamentals, MTA will validate your core knowledge. MTA is an optional industry-recognized certification for those pursuing a career path in IT infrastructure, database design, or software development using Microsoft technologies. What does registering for the MTA Workshop Do for me? This workshop helps to enhance your tech skills, gets you interview ready and to certify your technology skills What happens after I register for the MTA Workshop? You will be able to attend and earn a MTA Test Voucher reserved for you to attempt the Database Fundamentals Certification exam . You will be able to take an MTA Exam after completing the workshop, which will lead you to earning the Microsoft Technology Associate certification credential Exam that will be offered at the MTA Workshop:  MTA Fundamental Track for Database Fundamentals Exam 364: Database(It is recommended that a candidate also take the Security and Networking Exams along with ACCESS 2013 for a well rounded portfolio) FAQs Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Yes. A State ID is required to register and you must be 17yrs of age or older to participate What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? A: You will have 40-50 minutes to complete your MTA Certification exam.  Q: When will I receive the results of my exam? A: You will be able to see your score and exam result immediately after taking the exam. Q: How do I get my MTA certificate after passing an exam? A: Certificates are only available through online download. You can obtain any of your Microsoft certificates using the Microsoft Certified Professional website. You will need your Windows Live ID that has been associated with your Microsoft Certified ID in order to access this site. Q: How do I get a copy of my score report? A: Your score report will be shown immediately after completing your exam it will also be available on the Certiport website for your reference. Q: Where can I find my certification transcript? A: You can find a transcript of all your Microsoft certifications on the Microsoft Certified Professional website. You will need your Windows Live ID that has been associated with your Microsoft Certified ID in order to view this transcript. You can find a transcript of all the exams you have taken through Certiport on the website. Log in with the same credentials you will be issued when you sign up to take the exam
