Life Science Angel Network

Overview

In 2011, the New York Academy of Sciences launched the Life Sciences Angel Network (LSAN) to serve New York City and tri-state area scientists and entrepreneurs looking to fund and promote innovation. The mission is to provide young life sciences companies with financial and operational support, sector-specific mentorship, and access to a broad network of investors and entrepreneurs for subsequent institutional financing.

While the Academy carries on as a Founding Partner and continues its proud relationship, LSAN became an independent organization as of January 2012.

What does that mean for investors, entrepreneurs, and/or partners?

  • The LSAN Program is running exactly the same way as it has before, without any material effect on those involved.
  • There are no changes to the philosophy of the group or to the schedule of events, fees and procedures.
