As an Account Manager, you are a key member of the Sales team responsible for renewing, upselling, and expanding business for a portfolio of enterprise accounts. You are the “go to” for district-level communication and coordination, effectively engaging and building relationships with key decision-makers (school principals, district representatives and superintendents). You will do everything from building Strategic Account Plans to articulating client analyses and relationship strategies, and partnering cross-functionally across Newsela to advocate for client needs in support of achieving impressive year over year renewals and upsells.

You are a proven sales professional or account manager with 3+ years of meeting or exceeding retention and growth goals with enterprise level clients (ideally at a SaaS company and/or in the education sector). You are able to customize solutions based on specific client needs, are an excellent communicator who is comfortable building relationships with and influencing multiple levels of key decision-makers (including at the C-suite level). You are a skilled project manager, who can seamlessly balance multiple high-value clients and deepen relationships with them to ultimately grow Newsela’s revenue. You might also have experience leading and running marketing campaigns, or working in education/with educators, oe have an understanding of pedagogy that enables you to better relate to classroom engagement.
