Due to continued growth and expansion, The Taxback Group are currently looking for a professional and driven Accounting Associate to be based in our Kilkenny office. You will provide professional, proactive and efficient finance advice to the financial controller.

As an Accounting Associate you will be responsible for:

  • Assistance in the preparation and detailed analysis of monthly management accounts.
  • Collecting, analysing and identifying fluctuations and trends in data from reports.
  • Oversee and review monthly reconciliations i.e. divisional budgets, bank account reconciliations, intercompany account reconciliations, etc.
  • Review of employee travel expense claim forms.
  • Ensuring the general ledger nominals are fully reconciled and reviewed on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT Returns.
  • Assistance with preparation of annual audit files.
  • Assistance with general ad hoc duties and projects as they arise.

What we need to see from you is…

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar accounts/finance role. Experience in a multinational multi-currency environment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong level of IT Skills – SAP exposure is an advantage.
  • Experience in reporting, analysing and manipulating data.
  • Excellent attention to detail together with strong analytical skills

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 1-2 years work experience in a similar accounts administration role. Experience gained in a multinational multi-currency environment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong level of IT Skills - SAP exposure is an advantage.
  • Organised and professional individual with ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced environment with deadlines of a tight nature.
  • Ability to take ownership for your work and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Will need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Expertise in reporting, analysing and manipulating data.
  • Excellent attention to detail together with strong analytical skills.
