The role

The Client Director role will involve building relationships and revenue for a defined patch of direct clients. The main objective of this role is to generate revenue for the business.

Reporting to the Commercial Director you will have previous experience of selling big partnerships, preferably for a publisher, who can seek out big opportunities across your relationships and via industry insights.

What you will be do doing

  • Generate big ticket deals - £500k+
  • Achieve an annual revenue target of £2m selling solely to your patch of clients
  • Create detailed collateral to justify why big brands should work with us at the bigger revenue brackets.
  • Host client wide education and innovation sessions on a regular basis
  • Drive long term media partnerships across all platforms
  • Identify revenue opportunities using the full suite of UNILAD products
  • Identify revenue opportunities to UNILAD from your client direct relationships
  • Increase the number of brands that UNILAD partner with
  • Develop always on strategies for clients
  • Be responsible for client retention
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients at a senior level
  • Attend a minimum of 5 client meetings each week
  • Create industry justifications to work with UNILAD as best in market
  • Work with the Commercial Director to create and implement a sales strategy for your clients
  • Manage quarterly revenue reporting to the Commercial Director
  • Report weekly to the Commercial Director on your achievements for the week
  • Up to date Pipeline management of all sales opportunities on Salesseek
  • Work with the Media Agency Sales Team in delivering the best solution for the Client
  • Keep the Media Agency Sales Team rep for your clients up to date with your conversations to ensure transparency
  • To attend and update the sales team in the weekly Sales Meeting
  • Work with internal delivery teams to ensure the partnership is delivered successfully
  • Responsible for ensuring clients are invoiced correctly and on time
  • To follow and adhere to the UNILAD Company Process at all times

What we need for this role

  • A minimum of 8 years selling creative content or a similar concept to agencies and clients
  • Senior contacts at brands relevant to UNILAD
  • Hunger, motivation and drive are essential
  • An excellent understanding of digital advertising including desktop, mobile and video
  • Exceptional relationships
  • An excellent understanding of social media - in particular Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Adapts to changes easily as with the product
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills - MS Powerpoint and/or Keynote is a must have
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Able to think creatively and proactively
  • Exceptional client servicing
  • Personable and able to adapt to different personalities
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to drive incremental revenue against briefs
  • Applying proactivity based on industry insights
  • Experience of presenting to multiple teams at clients and/or agencies
