Fully-funded tech non-profit in the environment category is looking to fill an immediate opening for a politically savvy and driven self-starter to manage their communications and public relations portfolio.

The successful candidate will work craft and communicate our unique story to journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns based on understanding of journalists' interests; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers; develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns; and counter misinformation that might interfere with our ability to create the change we are looking for.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent practical experience. • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with communications and public relations agencies. • Ability to speak and write in English with Spanish being a big plus • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced environments • Proven background in crafting, pitching, and landing earned media in a variety of formats • Ability to think, plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion
