Geenee, a NYC-based app that uses image recognition technology to turn Instagram into a shoppable marketplace, raised $4.4m in Series A funding.
Backers included Highlight Communications AG, Constantin Media AG, Stephen Cohen and Steve Titus.
The company, which is launching out of beta on iOS and Android, intends to use the funds to continue to grow the team for app development.
