Recently, Digital.NYC’s editor, Marcos Dinnerstein, spoke with Luis Carranz, Founder of Fintech Worldwide Ltd. to hear what people can expect from The 2nd Annual blockchain Conference. It won’t be dry and academic.

Please introduce yourself and your title.

Luis Carranza, Founder of Fintech Worldwide Ltd

How many attendees do you generally receive? Where do they come from? What sectors?

Last year we had 125 in New York, this year the capacity is 200.  Financial services and Tech sectors but its getting more diverse each year as we have Government and other industries that can be transformed by Blockchain

What can attendees walk away with or how will this event change the conversation around tech?

They will be able to hear directly from the source of the change and hear from large companies, investors and start-ups that are actually working in the space

What is the panel or speaker you are most excited about and why?

The DAO (Distributed Autonomous Organisation) panel will be interesting because there is a lot of hype around this topic and a recent security breech that could potentially cost millions.  It will be a serious topic of debate.

What sets this conference apart from other tech conferences?

We have lots of speakers but keep our talks short and lots of opportunity for networking so delegates can meet each other.

What will set this year’s event apart from last year's?

The state of the industry, things are moving fast and the market is maturing.  we've captured a lot of the momentum this year with the agenda

Are there any new components or features that attendees should look forward to this year?

We will be using a a networking app like Tinder for Business (called 'Howdy') to match make delegates with the swipe of your phone.

Is there a way for non-attendees to follow the conversation? Twitter handle? Live feed?

Yes, we will stream live and we use #blockchainNYC on Twitter
