Tinder's parent company has scooped up yet another dating app. After failing to woo Whitney Wolfe's Bumble app, Match Group Inc. (NASDAQ: MTCH) — owned by New York-based IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IAC) — decided to pick up a majority stake in Hinge. The company announced Wednesday that it acquired a 51 percent chunk. Like IAC/InterActive, Hinge is also headquartered in New York City.
