This week in N.Y.C. funding news: BuzzFeed, PayCommerce, ContentSquare

New York City remains among the top markets for venture capital investments in startups.

While there weren't many funding rounds for New York startups this week, there definitely some fund raising on the part of venture capitalists.

Manhattan-based Bowery Capital closed its second fund with $60 million in capital commitments (ht Fortune's Dan Primack). The seed and early-stage firm launched by AOL vet Mike Brown originally raised $33 million for its debut fund.

New York City remains among the top markets for venture capital investments in startups.

Expect to see Bowery spend more on startups now that it has a larger fund to tap. One of its portfolio companies includes Manhattan-based mParticle, whichraised $17.5 million last week. This week, two other N.Y.C. startups raised closed to that amount while another is expecting a large cash infusion from NBCUniversal:
