Overview

Bandwagon sells empty seats in taxis, initially to and from airports but also partnership with major taxi suppliers in the near future. Our software is currently deployed in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas. The company has developed partnerships with Jet Blue and United Airlines, as well as with the PANYNJ to facilitate taxi-sharing at LaGuardia, JFK, and soon Newark airport, which collectively dispatch over 4 MM taxis annually.

David Mahfouda

David attended Deep Springs College, and has a B.A. from Harvard and a M.A. in Product Engineering from the Stevens Institute.

Director of Partnerships

Sarah Bacon

Sarah has over 14 years experience in issue advocacy, communications, designing and implementing campaigns for progressive causes, including as Account Director at Fenton. Sarah worked in Mayor Bloomberg’s Department of City Planning on resiliency. She co-founded TaxiShair, a ridesharing app for airport travelers. She has an MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University.

CTO

Jack Ratner

Jack has previously worked with Osmosis, a medical education start up based out of Philadelphia, and a custom software company in Eugene, Oregon. Jack was a Computer Science student at Oberlin College. When not programming for Bandwagon, he enjoys exploring New York.

Art Director

Brendan Dalton

Brendan Dalton is the Art Director at Bandwagon. Since earning his BFA in Graphic Design, Brendan has created art and visual design for many organizations, including: Pentagram, St. Martin’s Press, AOL, and Goldman Properties. Brendan was recently featured in the group show ‘New Eyes for New Spaces’ at the International Studio & Curatorial Program in Brooklyn, NY.

Operations Manager

Theodore Brown

Ted Brown came to Bandwagon after spending a year working for Deustche Bahn International in Berlin as a strategy consultant. Prior to his stint in Germany, Ted managed the Drive Smart consumer technology program for the New York City Department of Transportation and served as a consultant to FHWA/RITA on the Connected Vehicles program. Ted is a graduate of Boston University where he majored in geography.
