Prompt’s mission is to make people better writers. We do this in three ways: (1) software for educators to efficiently grade and provide feedback on essays, (2) tools to guide people through developing and structuring content, and (3) writing tutoring at scale provided by Prompt's network of writing tutors or the staff of any organization. Prompt did $180k in 2017 revenue between SaaS (130 organizations) and services (over 5,000 essays reviewed).

Brad Schiller

Brad is passionate about helping people realize their potential. He worked at McKinsey for five years where he learned the importance of written communication and feedback as critical requirements for self-improvement. He has experience running an early stage business as the first employee at Airware, a company that makes software for drones ($85M funding). He is an author having written Embrace the Case Interview. He graduated from MIT.

Co-founder & Developer

John Parsons

John has been programming since he was in sixth grade, but his true passions are education and problem solving. He has four years of experience in edtech, having worked with educators to build software tools to speed up grading, improve feedback, and enable data-driven instruction. He also wrote The SAT Essay Ace Template, a 100-page guide to beating the SAT essay. He studied computer science at MIT.

Co-founder & CTO

Jordan Haines

Jordan leads teams in crafting products that help students learn and teachers teach. At MIT, Jordan studied computer science and economics while coordinating institute leadership programs, student teaching in local high schools, and working with Teach For America. He has consulted as a developer on edtech projects in MIT's Media Lab and founded Kalosal Solutions, a web development company focused on building robust MVPs for promising startups.
