U.S. charitable giving is a $373 billion annual market, but only 1% of donations are made via mobile. Nearly all millennials own smartphones, and 86% report having donated in the last year. Something has to give. Spotfund is a mobile-first platform that encourages people to give $1, $2 or $3 to causes and current events and share them with friends. Spotfund makes giving fun, impulsive and competitive.

Mike Marian

Technology, operations, finance. Prior to Spotfund, Mike was a Senior VP at Citi Private Bank, where he managed a team of 200 developers and testing professionals across the globe with a $10mm annual budget. He is passionate about bringing cutting-edge technologies to consumers and managing large scale products and teams. Mike holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Questrom School of Management at Boston University.

Brian Belardi

Marketing, communications, content. Prior to Spotfund, Brian served as Director of Communications for McGraw-Hill Education, where he helped transform the company’s brand from a textbook publisher to a learning science company. Previously, Brian held marketing positions at Columbia Business School and Pearson. Brian holds a B.A. in English from Vassar College.

Sanford Kunkel

Strategy, vision, sales, product, branding. Prior to Spotfund, Sanford was founder, owner, and operator of The Bowery House, the first of its kind boutique hostel in NYC. His passion lies with creating, branding and marketing successful products for millennials. Sanford holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
