Join us as we discuss the intersection of law and technology.   On November 12th for The Legal Side of Software Development for a discussion on what coders/devs should know about intellectual property (IP), licensing, trade secrets, patents, and emerging regulatory issues, Flatiron School's Manager of Full Stack Web Curriculum, Steve Harms, will speak with a panel of experts from Brooklyn Law School featuring Jonathan Askin, Professor of Clinical Law and Founder/Director of the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy (BLIP) Clinic and Mark Potkewitz, Director of Policy for the Center for Urban Business and Entrepreneurship.

The panel will walk the audience through pressing IP Law matters, open source software licensing concerns, the differences between trademark, servicemarks, patents, and trade secrets, as well as answering audience questions relating internet law and privacy law.
