For the past year, we have been working closely with industry leaders, government agencies, and the New York City technology community on potential blockchain applications that would benefit the city. This program, known as BigApps for Blockchain, began with a series of government workshops on blockchain and has culminated in 10 practical civic applications that span three challenge areas – identity, energy, and real estate management. On October 3rd, the winning teams will present their ideas, demonstrating real-world use cases of blockchain-based solutions for the City.
