DESCRIPTION Join TechHub NYC for an informal chat over coffee where we will be welcoming Joyce Shen from Tenfore Holdings. Our Investor Coffee Mornings are a great opportunity to navigate the investment landscape, understand different funding options, build relationships and engage relevant investors to successfully raise external capital. This will be a roundtable session with 10-20 founders, where the startups could get feedback on their business plans and metrics, as well as asking questions that are relevant to their business. Tenfore Holdings is an investment management firm that provides operational value-added to growth-stage companies where technology plays a transformative role. We focus on commerce and Big Data equity/debt investments where we can apply our operating experience and strategic relationships to enhance value. We have extensive experience operating at scale, and we understand how to build smaller enterprises to scale. By providing capital, strategic guidance at the board level, and operational support to talented managers, we help companies realize their full revenue, profit and market-value potential for the long-term. Joyce Shen, Investment Director Outside Tenfore, Joyce teaches data science at UC Berkeley. She was previously the senior global director of emerging technologies and corporate venture in the CTO office at Thomson Reuters where she founded and led the global emerging tech partnership program and the emerging tech venture fund, responsible for emerging tech research, partnerships, and corporate venture. During her tenure, she established product partnerships and built new products in data analytics, IoT, and blockchain. She founded the emerging tech venture fund at Thomson Reuters and made 11 venture investments. Before Thomson Reuters, Joyce was one of the founding executives and the global CFO of IBM Cloud Platform managing $1B P&L. She also spent several years in IBM Corporate Development leading acquisitions and divestitures exceeding $6B in total transaction value. NB.
