NEW INC, the first museum-led incubator, is a shared workspace and professional development program designed to support creative practitioners working in the areas of art, technology, and design. Launched by the New Museum in 2014, the incubator is a not-for-profit platform that provides an affordable collaborative space for a curated, interdisciplinary community of 100 hundred members to investigate new ideas and develop a sustainable practice. Over the past 18 months, we’ve incubated more than 200 full-time and part-time members, seen our start-ups raise over $3 million in funding, witnessed the growth and development of a dozen new creative studios, and seen our artists and designers receive prestigious residency opportunities, commissions and awards.
