See what companies and venture capital shops made the N.Y.C. funding roundup for the week of April 25 - April 29:

Remitly, $38.5 million: New York-based Stripes Group led the financing round for Remitly, a mobile money transfer service that helps international migrants send resources home to their families. Vulcan Capital and existing backers DFJ, DN Capital, Bezos Expeditions and Trilogy Equity Partners also participated. Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) CEO Jeff Bezos was one of the early backers of Remitly, which launched as Beamit in the Techstars incubator program.

Mark43, $27 million: The software maker, whose products are geared toward detectives, raised a Series B. Spark Capital and General Catalyst led the effort with participation from existing seed and Series A investors including former director of the CIA General David Petraeus. New participants include Jeff BezosAshton Kutcher’s Sound Ventures and Goldman Sachs. Existing investors Lowercase Capital, SV Angel and the Govtech Fund also returned.
