Calling All Local Startups! - NYCEDC, TechNYC, and Startup Genome partner for Annual Startup Ecosystem Survey

Calling all tech startup leaders in NYC: take this Annual Startup Ecosystem Survey to benchmark your startup against others in 45+ top performing startup ecosystems!

Over the past 10 years, New York City’s startup ecosystem has grown at a breakneck pace. There are now over 9,000 startups, 300,000+ people work in tech, and in 2017, local startups raised nearly $12B in investment, up from just $1B in 2009. As the ecosystem continues to evolve, so do its needs.

This is why NYCEDC, Tech:NYC, and Startup Genome have partnered on the Annual Startup Ecosystem Survey for New York City to learn more about our local startup business environment and ensure that it continues to thrive. To do this, we need to hear from you! By taking the survey, you will bring global visibility to the incredible momentum our city is experiencing toward becoming the best place to start and scale a tech company. We also want to hear about your experience to help us identify our startup ecosystem’s strengths and opportunities for improvement, which we can act on through investment, policies, and resources.

The survey is conducted by Startup Genome and is used to create the world’s most comprehensive research on startup ecosystems in more than 30 countries. Startup Genome ranked New York City as the second-highest-performing ecosystem in the world in 2018.

Startup founders and organizations: Please join us in taking this year’s survey. Responses are confidential and the survey should take 15 minutes to complete. The survey will close on December 31, 2018.
