Overview

An interactive video platform that helps anyone make sense of complex political issues and then take action. MakeSense provides concise, easy to understand videos that quickly give its users a complete picture of major issues in the world. The videos have interactive questions embedded throughout. Based on the responses, users are provided a synopsis of their positions and offered targeted ways to take action.

Katherine Stein

Katherine is a senior at NYU's College of Art's and Sciences majoring in International Relations and Broadcast Journalism. With a background studying political affairs and video journalism, she has worked for companies including ABC News, NBC News, and Shanghai Media Group.

Web Developer

Kai-han (Kelly) Chang

A master’s student in NYU Tandon’s Integrated Digital Media Program, she is experienced in web design and development, including front-end and back-end. She has done several web projects including enterprise-level API servers. She has worked as a back-end engineer in a startup called GliaCloud, which won several startup competitions, including Tech in Asia and Startup Stadium, and presented at NYC Media Lab 2016 and TechCrunch SF 2016.

Jixuan Sun

A Master’s student in the Tisch Interactive Telecommunications Program, Jixuan has worked as a graphic and interactive designer for five years, gaining extensive experience in digital media, UX/UI design and interaction design. Growing up in Beijing, she developed a passion for working on innovative projects and developing unique animated experiences.

Samuel Khoshbin

Sam is an incoming summer analyst at Credit Suisse and will work within its investment banking and capital markets division. Most recently, Sam worked as a summer analyst at I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure private equity firm. Working with both the investor relations and investment team, he handled the firm's presentation material, assisted in fundraising, and conducted due diligence on market opportunities.

An award-winning, multidisciplinary art director who values the problem-solving possibilities of design, she works with teams to develop strategic, artful solutions and compelling experiences that inspire action.
