In this class, students will learn to refine the relationships of typographic elements in their projects. The complex dynamics of choosing typographic style, size, weight, width, slope, color, orientation and position will be explored through two hands-on class projects (an editorial spread and a poster, both with multiple design challenges) and a detailed case study of a third project, a resume. (Optional: Attendees should bring a current resume for analysis). Included: presentations, demos, and constructive friendly critiques. This class will be best for designers who have a good working knowledge of InDesign and who want to ramp up their typographic game. Required Materials: a laptop running a recent version of InDesign, with a good selection of text and display typefaces
